I really believe that too fewer people know the truth about what they look like in a photograph.

I want my photographs to help my subjects feel better about themselves. I want to tell the truth with my camera so that they may see the truth about themselves.

To me, expression, emotion, connection and the moment are the most important considerations when photographing people. Without these, a photograph has no feeling.

My pleasure in photographing a wedding comes from knowing that I’m creating a story about one day in two people’s lives, and I’m able to influence that with an artistic eye. I work by watching the day unfold and documenting the details with my camera. My goal is to compose a photographic narrative with a beginning, middle and end; allowing the day to be re-lived 20 years later by generations to come.
